What we did today!

What a beautiful day, sunshine, blue sky, warm breeze, this is call a perfect beach day! So to the beach we went a 9:45 am this morning. There was another family and a few seagulls. We got there and the kids started playing in the sand right away. Then they went to test the water. In they went without a hesitation. The air temperature was at 78 degrees and the water temperature a nice 57 degrees. They loved it and stayed in there for at least an hour. Brrrrrr What a nice activity to do on this last day of May. Later at lunch Julien ask if we could do the same thing tomorrow and told me not to forget my swimsuit!!!

First graduation

Last night we went to Julien's first graduation! He graduated from PEEPS school his little 3 school program. What fun we had and how proud this little guy was to walk (run) to his teacher Mrs. Russell to give her a hug and get his paper. There sure was a lot of kids there and no lack of action. We will miss not going to school on Tuesdays and Thursdays! So here is a couple of pictures.

last day of school!

Yesterday was Julien's last day of school. This is a bittersweet moment since Julien loves his teacher and his friends. He has been doing so good with listening, picking up, playing with other, doing craft and most of all speaking English without hesitation. It was a special day all outside. We had a Bike Rodeo, where the kids got to wash, decorate and ride their bicycles in a parade around the parking lot. The weather was perfect, what fun we had. Then it was snack time with a great story with Mrs. Russell. So here is the start of our summer!

Sweet kids

Well sure they are on the pictures. But I can say that it hasn't been the case for the last few days! Oh the tales of a stay at home mom. This is not the easy way out and not an easy job! And yes it is a job and I would not change it for anything even if I am exhausted half of the time. I am thankful that today for it is a better day. Fortunately those though days don't come to often. I took a few pictures yesterday since the light was so good in the house and here is the result of 2 non cooperative kids. I still love them to death. I am so thankful that the weekend is here! Crocs

Are they still hot or in this summer? I still see them everywhere, in every color, shape, or size! I was at the store with Julien when he pointed to these shoes/sandals and said: "Mom I want a pair of these shoes like my friend does"

Humm what is that pressure already at 3 1/2 yrs old of wanting what the other has??? Can this be so young? What have I done to cause this to my son!

No no really I think it is just a way for him to want to be like his friend in an innocent way, he is so proud to share something like his friend has!

Choosing them was quite a task at first he wanted the bright yellow, not so sure about that, then he wanted the red one and they where out for his size, then he spotted these blue one, even though we showed him the nice brown and khaki one he chose the blue!

He was so happy he had to wear them as we where leaving the store, he kept saying thank you daddy and mommy. He was skipping down the street, how sweet to see pure joy!

Today the first thing he did in the morning was to put them on with still his pj's to have breakfast. What a sight.

Later we went to school and how happy he was to show them off to his teacher.

He is just beaming about these blue shoes. He keeps telling us that they are new, pretty, they run fast and that his little sister should have a pair!

Happy Mothers Day

Hope you had a great day. We had a great time together. We started with a good breakfast together and then out we went to start digging, wheel barrelling around and spreading my beautiful present of 6 yards of mulch. Well not just that but that was part of it. It's the gift that keeps giving since I get to enjoy a nice looking yard! On top of that I got some lovely lotions and perfumes. Then we round up the day by going out to eat Thai food,hummm that was so good. I got many sweet kisses and hugs from my kids what else is better than that!

what have we been doing this past week!

It's been Tulip Time is here in Holland. So we have been in downtown watching Klompen dancing, parades, eating ice cream and taking many pictures with the TULIPS. This is a big thing here, people get ready in advance, they pick the costume, think of where they will sit for the parade, which junk food will they eat from the vendors, planed which parcto take pictures from... We had a good time at the parade and so did the kids. We saw quite few people we know. Julien spotted his friend Chase right away. What fun we had. Enjoy a few our pictures too.

Here you are my english friends we have something for you too! Not sure how often it will be updated but I will try my best. Maybe I should put the husband in charge of this chapter. The goal of my french blog is to keep in touch with our family far away. This one is for the same reasons but to focus on you our friends, some near and some far.
